Question 1

What is Proof?

Accepted Answer

A transcript-first editor for video teams. Everyone shapes the story by editing the transcript — cut, rearrange, comment — and the result syncs into Adobe Premiere Pro.

Question 2

Can it replace Frame.io?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Proof covers review and approval, timestamped comments included, and goes further: feedback lands as real timeline edits, not notes for someone to interpret.

Question 3

Can anyone edit the transcript?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you can edit a document, you can edit the story. No editing software to learn.

Question 4

Do edits go back to Premiere?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Approved changes sync into Adobe Premiere Pro as a timeline that's ready for finishing.

Question 5

Is it an all-in-one editing tool?

Accepted Answer

No. Proof assumes you have a Premiere timeline for assembling raw footage. It owns the review-and-revision cycle, then hands the timeline back to your editor.

Question 6

Is the Premiere round-trip really non-destructive?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You lose no work: an untouched copy of your original sequence is preserved, and existing color and sound work carries through — nothing starts from scratch.
